This sad iron is embossed on the top under the handle with E. Bless & R. Drake patented in 1852. The top lifts up for you to insert hot coal or stones and water could be added through the little door on the back to create steam. Great dark patina to the cast iron. Handle has a small piece of wood broke out. Wonderful example of vintage ironing tools.
